I’ve admitted that I enjoy animated movies almost as much as any other genre of movie. If the story is well planned out, well told, or is consistent with it’s tongue-in-cheek humor, than I can appreciate it.
This sequel, in my opinion, is all three.
Picking up from the end of the first movie, Swallow Falls is in celebration of the defeat of Flint’s food producing machine. Chester V, Flint’s childhood hero, shows up in holograph form to help with the clean-up. But the whole town needs to be relocated, and Flint only agrees when he’s offered a job working at Chester V’s Live Corp company.
Flint wants nothing more but to prove himself, and after several months of the same-old, same-old he’s given the chance to go back to Swallow Falls. Though he’s supposed to go alone, the whole gang accompanies Flint, dropping everything they’re doing to help.
What’s waiting for them is an interesting combination of food animals and a hidden agenda that could put their friendships, and lives, in danger.
If you enjoyed the first movie, this one is worth watching too. Four and a half strawberries.
